"Lost in Thailand" Japan Premiere
2012/China/104min.
Director:Xu Zheng
Xu Zheng, Huang Bo, Wang Baoqiang

“Lost in Thailand” became an instant and surprise mega hit through word of mouth after its release at the end of December 2012. Commercially too, it became the biggest box office hit in the history of Chinese films.

Xu has successfully developed a powerful gasoline additive, and is on a mission to get the approval of the biggest shareholder of his company, who he learns is away in Thailand. He heads off to Bangkok, putting his already shaky relationship with his wife at risk. In the airplane, Xu meets Wang, who is apparently a tourist but is also quite a character. Meanwhile, Xu's longtime friend and colleague Gao has different ideas about the additive -to sell it off for money - and is secretly following Xu. Chaos is in the making as Wang adds a twist to Xu and Gao's race to achieve what they each want.
