Mitsuba Konjakutei, a futatsume (second performer) rakugoka (comic storyteller) opens a speech class. He gets three inarticulate students: a taciturn and He gets three inarticulate students: a taciturn and brusque beauty, Satsuki Tokawa, a rascally young boy who moved from Osaka, Masaru Murabayashi, and an ex-baseball player turned baseball commentator who is microphone shy, Taichi Yugawara. Mitsuba has a hard time as his students quarrel at the sight of one another and do not learn rakugo…A film based on the bestseller novel of the same title by Takako Sato and directed by Hirayama Hideyuki of Begging for Love. The film was shot at Suzumoto Engei-jo Hall in Ueno, Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa Engei Hall and other locations.
